Are you feeling down and a little depressed?
Well let me share with you what my Grandma told me was her secret for happiness and she is almost 100 years old now….
My baby blue discovery.….
You see after I had my third baby…… I had the baby blues really bad…..
I was crying on the phone one day with my Grandma and telling her horrible I felt because I was just so sad and I just kept crying.
I really thought I was going a little crazy…. and for the life of me just couldn't figure out why I was feeling that way.
Well Grandma let me in a little secret of hers……
She told me that it had happened to her also after her third baby…. she then told me her secret to getting over being depressed was she got really active and started focusing on helping more people find happiness.
She discovered before long she was to busy to be depressed and had so many positive activities going on in her life because she was focused on other people instead of herself.
Grandma's plan of action:
FIRST: You need to call up about 5 friends and ask them if you can do anything to help them out..
Grandma gave me an example of offering to watch their kids while they went shopping or to a hair appointment
SECOND: Volunteer- which will help you find new people to connect up with and give you a weekly plan of action to stay busy.
Get involved of course like she said back in her time there was just the church or the ladies aid meetings!
But now you can go google “meetup.com” and find a group locally that you can get involved with that have similar interests.
(for example a mommy and baby play group, or a group of moms that get together and exercise)
Facebook groups where you can search for moms that are like you and have similar interests
Studies have been shown that women who have strong friendships of similar interests are happier and more self confident.
THIRD: Have a weekly plan of action
Make a list of things that need to get done during the week.
…what needs to get done to improve your health and spirit?
…what needs to get done to keep your home running smoothly during the week?
…what needs to be done with your job or income?
…what are you going to do to help someone this week?
Then just divide them up 6 days a week and then on the seventh day just spend some time alone with yourself and with your kids.
Learn to enjoy life and reflect.
I often tease my Grandma that she would of made a good network marketer…..
I followed her 3 foundation rules which is how I have set up my weekly action plan.
With this weekly action in plan it has enabled me to build an income with my network marketing company around my 4 boys, 200 cows the last 22 years.
Plus I have never found the time to be depressed again….!!
